EMT (EMT Basic) Course

Formally called “EMT Basic” this is the entry level EMT license required for you to move on to higher level licenses like “Advanced EMT or Paramedic”. Over the course of 160 classroom hours, and 20 online hours, you will learn the foundation of EMS. This is a national curriculum and will allow for you to test and become a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician as well as licensed to practice in the State of Rhode Island. The class consists of 2 evenings a week and some Saturdays. Weeknights will be 6p-10p and Saturdays 9a-4p. Included in this is American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support certification.
